Selma Cottage nestles in the village of Benderloch, just 8 miles north of Oban on the A828 main road from Oban to Fort William. From Benderloch, locate the single track road opposite the church and continue to the end of the road. The cottage is set in a row of three with Rose Cottage being the middle property with a red roof.
The village of Benderloch has a small supermarket, post office, cafe, fish and chip shop and petrol station. It is nestled at the foot of Beinn Lora, which has a delightful forest walk. The glorious Tralee Beach is on the doorstep of both cottages. There is a Sea Life Centre just 5 miles north of the village.
The town of Oban can be found 8 miles south of Benderloch and has a wide range of shops and restaurants. It also has a swimming pool, leisure facilities and a cinema. Oban is known as "the Gateway to the Isles" and has ferries travelling to all Western Isles, including Mull and Iona.
